Acupuncture – Traditional and Modern

There are two approaches to acupuncture, traditional and modern.  At Thamesway we use the traditional and modern approaches to treat muscle spasm and pain which cause trigger points. It’s sometimes called dry needling.

From our own clinical experience at Thamesway Physio, we find acupuncture very effective for treating pain and muscle spasm all over the body.

Acupuncture has been gradually gaining more acceptance within the general medical fraternity.

The article suggests that certain chemicals are released into the muscles, which reduce pain and ultimately help them relax.

The jury is still out on the full effectiveness of acupuncture, but we feel that it’s only a matter of time before we are able to accurately prove its benefits.
