David McConnon

David qualified as physiotherapist at the University of South Australia in 1994 and has spent most of his professional career in England. He has a strong skill base in trigger point, and exercise based therapy. His areas of interest include the treatment of necks and shoulders, the pelvis and lower limb biomechanics. David has also had experience working with high level sports teams in Australian Rules Football, rugby, football (soccer) as well as elite level judo and rowing.

In 1999 he completed the sort after Graduate Diploma in Advanced Manipulative Therapy and has enjoyed developing his skills to an expert level. He enjoys curing difficult cases other therapists can’t solve.

David has played many sports including Australian Rules Football, cricket, triathlon, surfing, snowboarding, golf, tennis, swimming, aikido, yoga and nowadays is a keen cyclist both on and off the road. Prior to physiotherapy David was a qualified electrician!

Andre Van Der Merwe

Andre qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1996 in South Africa and has since gone on to be a key physio member of a number of international sports teams: including the South African golf (PGA), rugby, football (soccer), hockey, athletics and swimming teams.

Andre was active as a professional international triathlete and is a former winner of the World Biathlete Tour and medallist at the World Triathlon Championships.

Andre has a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics and specific gait analysis, through the spine, pelvis, knee and foot. For this he often uses foot and ankle orthotic prescription as a mode of treatment.

Andre treats all aspects of general mechanical function of the body with specific interest in shoulder function, neck problems and headaches. Andre also advises on sports-physiology and other aspects of training.
